Sydney and Canberra

It was so much fun "tracking" steps amidst the walking in the nice cool weather in Sydney. Staying near the famous sights meant that there would be less time driving around. Daddy suggested walking to Sydney Opera House, walking across the Sydney Harbour Bridge (to Luna Park) and to the Rocks Foodie Market. Of course, at the end of every walk, the family would take a good break at the cosy lounge with a scenic view of the harbour.

Llewyn enjoyed himself quite a bit, given that he took part in the "walking" and the "eating" part.

Besides having a go at "electric karting", all 4 of them (except Llewyn) had 2 rounds of "Laser Tag" games. It was definitely one of the more enjoyable event of the trip.

In Canberra, the family visited the Questacon (highly rated) and the Cockington Green Gardens.

Back in Sydney, one night was spent in the Blue Mountains. The resort at Fairmont indeed proved to be very attractive to the kids. They spent a considerable amount of time at the playground and were reluctant to leave.

Shopping at the factory outlet was not too bad either. Most got themselves a pair of sneakers each which made it even more difficult to fit into the luggage.

Overall, it was a relaxing and entertaining trip. Looking forward to the next one!

Hua Hin getaway

The family gets together pretty often but not on an overseas trip in such a large group. The kids were overjoyed to know that they would be spending the next 5 days with their favourite pals during the September school holiday.

The adults had their fair share of fun too. From daily yoga to a private session of Thai boxing, this trip truly took their minds off work for awhile.

The one day "tour" of Hua Hin town was quite fulfilling as well. They ended with a satisfying seafood lunch and back again to the private pool villa for their daily dip.

Glad that the weather was good (definitely much better than the hazy Singapore those few days)!

Happy kids!

Llewyn is one year old

Ok.. He has been a year old since 2 months back. In fact, he has also attended his younger cousin Jayce's party thereafter.

Let's recap on his milestone:
- he can walk at 13+ month
- he can eat (really well and a lot!)
- he says mam-mam a lot (though sounds like "ma-ma") and many other funny words
- he loves to play peek-a-boo (especially with Lleyton and Leanne)
- he has 4 upper teeth and 4 lower teeth, with another 2 sprouting out
- he loves to mess up Lego (in particular those that gor-gor has painfully built)
- he likes to mess up the kitchen cabinet!! (Still trying to keep him out)
- he is the most active of the 3
- he is an adorable little boy and loves to smile

Happy one-year old, Llewyn!

Competitions

June was an exciting month for the 2 kids. After embarking on a year-long stint on soccer and Jazz, they both had a chance to engage in real competition.

Leanne was nicely dressed up on the day of the competition and was excited the whole morning. Similarly, Lleyton was nervous and full of anticipation. Even though both kids did not perform particularly well (as Daddy thought Lleyton could have done better instead of merely chasing behind the ball), they have put in considerable amount of effort in these activities. Glad to see them putting up a great show no matter what. Jia you!

Legoland finally!

A long-awaited trip for the 2 elder ones as it was meant as an incentive trip to motivate the cheeky boy to watch his "behavior" in school. Of course, the rest get to benefit as the entire family got a well-deserved break at the Hotel Jen (formerly Traders Hotel) for 2 nights over the long weekend.

Weather was fine, not too hot with a short span of light drizzle. The crowd was better than expected and most of the rides were covered within the one-day visit!

Round and round the Road Safety Park

The family went cycling on a warm Sunday afternoon after the weekly dance and soccer lessons. This time, Llewyn went along on a tandem bike with Daddy. He fell asleep even before the expedition started. Mummy has to struggle with her bike while looking out for both the elder ones going in different directions round the park. It was definitely a good workout for all!

Lunar New Year 2015

The Ngs had so much fun taking photos during the CNY! With the addition of the little one, this event no doubt became increasingly challenging... They finally put together a set of "family tees" with the recent purchase from M&M World in Las Vegas, worn during the second day of new year.

What a colourful and joyful new year for the family of 5!
