Taipei Trip - Day 3

The day started with a trip to the Taipei Zoo. Daddy carried Lleyton in the Bjorn, whereas Mummy carried everything else!

Admission into the Zoo was actually rather economical (NT60), but there were additional charges for almost everything in it, such as NT5 for taking the zoo shuttle train, NT20 to enter a particular display area etc. Lleyton did not particularly enjoy the train ride, for it was pretty uneventful. However, he brightened up when he saw the lemurs, monkeys and lions!

Seeing the lions was just about the last act that he saw, for Lleyton fell asleep shortly after that. Thereafter, Daddy & Mummy brought Lleyton on a distanced trip up to the hills of MaoKong for tea. Yes, tea up in the hills!

Daddy had decided to bring Mummy & Lleyton to one of the most posh tea places up at MaoKong, 邀月 for lunch and tea. Lleyton certainly looked like he had fun. The trio was put through a brief lesson on the art of tea brewing, and also brought back an unfinished tin of can as a souvenir.

After the meal, Daddy & Mummy brought Lleyton to visit the tie guan yin tea promotion center at Mao Kong. That proved a real disappointment..as there was nothing to be seen. However, Lleyton managed to find joy in feeding the fishes in the pond.

Later in the afternoon, Mummy did shopping at the Wu Fen Pu, whilst Daddy toggled between pushing Lleyton around the narrow streets and feeding him to keep him contented. One may wonder why does Daddy need to constantly take out small bits of food to feed Lleyton, rather than pass the young man his share, since he's already capable of holding his own food? The simple answer is that Lleyton will simply try to swallow the entire portion in a single bite! (As evident in the right photo where he was trying to gorge his mouth with the entire piece of 雞蛋糕.)

The evening was rounded up with a sumptous dessert of 芒果冰. Lleyton had the lion share of the mango! Just kidding...

Over the course of this couple of days, Daddy & Mummy realised that Lleyton is starting to be picky about food. He knows that he prefers bread over porridge, just as he prefers milk over water, and he is starting to show that. He will push Mummy's hand away when she tries to feed him porridge, and instead will point and cry out for the bread on the plate in front of him. Fussy Lleyton!
